The relative relationship between the service life of electrolytic capacitor and ambient temperature. 

When the ripple current is constant (such as rated ripple current), the higher the ambient temperature, the shorter the service life of electrolytic capacitor.
If the ambient temperature is too high and exceeds the maximum rated temperature of the electrolytic capacitor, the electrolyte in the electrolytic capacitor will boil and produce overvoltage, and the pressure relief parts will produce irreversible pressure relief action, resulting in electrolyte leakage and permanent damage to the electrolytic capacitor.Therefore, the storage and service temperature of electrolytic capacitors must not exceed the rated temperature. 

On the contrary, if the working temperature is reduced, the service life of electrolytic capacitor can be greatly increased. For example, the service life of electrolytic capacitor with rated maximum temperature of 85 ℃ is 1000 hours under the ambient temperature of 85 ℃, while when the ambient temperature is reduced to 60 ℃, the service life can be extended to about 10000 ℃, and when the ambient temperature is reduced to 40 ℃, the service life can reach about 80000 hours, In actual use, it can be seen that the actual service life of electrolytic capacitor is much higher than the nominal value, which is the reason why the service temperature is lower than the maximum rated temperature.

Therefore, if conditions permit, it is a good way to reduce the ambient temperature as much as possible to prolong the service life of electrolytic capacitor. Therefore, it is usually required that electrolytic capacitor should be far away from the heat source in design.

Generally, the chip capacitor refers to MLCC, that is, multilayer ceramic capacitors, also known as chip capacitors or SMD capacitors. Conventional chip capacitors are divided into COG (NPO), X7R and Y5V according to materials. According to the British standard, their pin packages usually have the following 13 models: 0201, 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 1808, 1812, 1825, 2220, 2225, 3012 and 3035.
0201, 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206 is a chip capacitor with common package size, and the capacity range is generally 0.5pF ~ 1uF.

First of all, let us ask a question to all of the customers. Please refer to below two types of capacitors description and identity which one is Pure Copper Foil Audio Capacitors? And why?

1, Copper Foil MKP-T 2.2uF 100V OD*L 12.5*31mm, DF value 0.001

2, Copper Foil PPCT 2.2uF +/-5% 100V OD*L 23*64mm, DF value 0.0001

Well, WEET would like to answer it. No doubt, number 2 PPCT is the Pure Copper Foil Audio Capacitors. there are three reasons for it.

Firstly, PP refer to the original polypropylene insulation film, CT is the first letter of Chinese words “Chun Tong”, which means pure copper. Likewise, MKP is metallized polypropylene, T is the first letter of Chinese words “Tong”, which means copper. So MKP-T has no pure copper, but with plated copper material on the PP film surface, which is very thin and only one layer.

Secondly, as Pure Copper Foil PP Audio Capacitors have two layers, a layer of pure copper foil and a layer of PP film. So the size will be much bigger than copper plated foil MKP capacitors.

Regarding the sounding performance, Pure Copper Foil PP Audio Capacitors has much lower DF values. Lots of people want to try and hear how Pure Copper Foil PP Audio Capacitors sound, but due to high price tag, customers made hesitation.         

However, price differences are used as a proxy for differences in quality. You deserve to hear the best sound of your speaker or audio application.
